Beginning in March Tiddley Winkle's Shop for Kids is offering stand alone products to help you create custom gift baskets for your friends and family.

Many people have baskets galore in their homes and never know what to do with them. When you receive a gift basket, often the basket is set aside and never used. In the gift basket business, these baskets are gold! Dust them off, spray paint them if they need a "lift", add some trim to cover flaws and re-use and re-give. Good for the environment and good for decluttering your home space. And remember - anything can be used as a "basket", let your imagination be your guide.

The cost of ready-made gift baskets is dependant upon the products, the time involved and the shipping. The shipping is usually a costly part of ordering as you pay for dimensional weight on a gift basket box. Many products used in gift baskets can now be accessed through big box stores, specialty stores and grocery stores. If you are doing one basket for a special occasion the price to purchase these items through retail outlets will still make your end product less expensive than purchasing a ready made basket. And if you hand deliver it, you cut out on the added shipping costs to send a completed basket.

However, some products are not available through the above outlets and we will be offering these products to you through our site under "Make Your Own Basket". We will offer all products that are available in any of our baskets, however, they may not be listed on our site. You have only to ask to receive a quote for an item or be told where you can purchase this item in your location. We will also offer complete basket "kits" with all of the products included and you have only to provide the container. We will also offer some containers that are available through wholesalers.

All in all, our aim is to spark your creativity and provide the tools and products to help you create a one-of-a-kind basket especially for your gift recipient. After all, who knows them better than you!
